  • PROJECT ENGINEER - New Production Development

    The Project Engineer oversees the design and development of processes for new product development.  Lead cross function internal project management team, involved from project conception, equipment specifications, quotations, through full scope of project management until responsibility is transferred to Sustaining Project Engineers.  Provide input for product and mold design, working with material/supplier sourcing, manufacturing engineering, quality planning, and new program qualification. Interface with customers on design, CAD drawings, prototype tool development, engineering production tooling, procuring tooling, overseeing production run, and working with quality control to establish appropriate parameters. Manage and engineer projects from concept through production. Oversee the development of material requirements and calculate project cost for quoting.  Design and development of parts from conceptual stages through production. Work with manufacturing engineers who are responsible for assigning tooling vendors on new and revised projects. Responsible for overall tool construction and part quality and oversight of initial product runs. Designs fixtures and secondary tools needed on new and revised projects. Maintain engineering and production files with proper paper work and documentations. Knowledge of MS Office Suite including Project Management desired. Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering degree preferred, an equivalent combination of education and experience required. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in injection molding preferred, to include experience with tooling and process development from concept to implementation. CAD knowledge helpful. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Must be a strong team player and effective team leader.  Computer proficiency required.
